Our flagship program, AI Engineering Foundations (AIEF), is a 15-day structured curriculum that takes you from the basics of Python and computational thinking all the way through neural networks, large language models, RAG pipelines, AI agents, and responsible AI practices. Every single day includes hands-on implementation — no passive watching, no multiple-choice tests.
The curriculum is powered by Harvard CS50 AI and Microsoft Generative AI content, curated for maximum engineering relevance. You learn Artificial Intelligence the way engineers actually use it: by building systems that work, debugging what breaks, and iterating until it's right.
Topics covered include: search algorithms, knowledge representation, probability theory, optimization, machine learning, deep learning, neural networks, natural language processing, prompt engineering, generative AI, large language models, vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation, AI agents, function calling, and responsible AI.
Strong AI engineering starts with strong computer science fundamentals. Knots Systems teaches the underlying principles — data structures, algorithms, graph theory, search trees, computational thinking — not as abstract exercises but as tools you apply immediately to real projects. When you implement a maze solver using depth-first search or build an unbeatable Tic Tac Toe AI with minimax and alpha-beta pruning, those fundamentals stick because you shipped working code.
Most engineering education is passive. Universities teach theory. Bootcamps teach tools. YouTube gives you video after video. Our learning path goes: Watch the world-class content, understand it at depth, implement it in code, build a complete system from scratch, review your implementation, iterate and improve, complete the final capstone project, and earn your competency certificate. Knots Systems is built on the principle that the best educational content in the world is already free — Harvard CS50, Microsoft Learn, Khan Academy. We don't compete with them. We build on top of them, adding the structure, accountability, and implementation framework that turns exposure into genuine engineering competency.
Our current available program is AI Engineering Foundations — a 15-day, project-based learning track covering the full spectrum of modern Artificial Intelligence engineering. Additional engineering tracks are in development, covering web systems, data engineering, and systems design. All programs are free to access and structured for self-paced learning with daily implementation milestones.
